******Diwali Ball 2009*******

The Diwali Ball was indeed special ............ a venue decked with traditional decorations, Authentic delectable Indian food, elegant Kuchipudi dance performances and the vibrant "Jai ho "dance made the evening spectacular.

Most importantly, the enthusiasm of the Annapurna members and guests made the evening delightful and unforgettable.

October General body meeting is scheduled on 9th Oct. from 10:30 onwards.It 'll be good opportunity to meet new people,catch up with your friends and also enjoy the variety of dishes ..........

Do remember this is probably the last day you may be able to buy tickets for the Diwali Ball as very few of the tickets are left now.

General Meeting for September 2009

The last meeting was indeed very special! The ladies looked lovely in their Indian attire and the food was fantastic. What a variety! It was great to see every one so enthusiastic, excited and geared up for the 'Diwali Ball'!

Do remember,the tickets for the Diwali Ball can be bought at the Indian embassy from 11 am to 1 pm on 22nd sep and 29th sep.

General Meeting for August 2009

Welcome back after the school holidays and Welcome to Seoul / Korea for new members!!

Next general meeting will be held on 24th August 2009 (Monday) at 10.30 a.m.
in the Annapurna Room in the Indian Embassy basement.

New members are welcome to join in from August .... Please inform any friends also who are keen to become members. Membership fee is KRW 30 000 per year from August to June.

We will discuss about the forthcoming Diwali Gala preparations and other events / activities. Hope to see you there!

Contemporary Indian Artists Exhibition in Seoul

National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea is holding an Exhibition on Indian Contemporary Art from April 17 to 07 June 2009. It is the first time that 129 Art exhibits from 27 Contemporary Indian Artists is being shown in Seoul (excerpted from a communication)
